Image by ASurroca via FlickrDanny Gallagher at TV Squad has a great post on Sci-Fi Channel's order for more episodes Ghost Hunters, as well as for more Ghost Hunters International and the new Ghost Hunters: A New Generation (or as I call it, Ghost Hunters: The College Years). The new spinoff will feature Dave Tango and Steve Gonsalves escorting a bunch of college kids to various locations for "investigations". According to the article at TV Squad, Sci-Fi is psyched that they'll open up whole new "theme" type shows such as haunted Spring Break sites and haunted frat houses.
I couldn't have said this better myself to please drop by TV Squad and read the post!

I am disappointed by this. It seems that Sci Fi is succombing to the pressure that the other networks have bowed down to and will be filling in the glorious viewing hours with more reality type programming.
I understand that it is supposed to be much less expensive to produce these types of shows but as an avid Sci Fi and paranormal fan for years I am really tired of decent series being cancelled in favor of these less than stellar reality things that are taking their place.
Paranormal state is almost laughable but I understand it has done well in the ratings so Sci Fi is jumping on the bandwagon with more of what they have already saturated their channel with. Uggh!
Perhaps they'll work on cases like, "The Haunted Keg Stand."
