A car drove onto the sidewalk on Meeting Street
on Monday and into a group on a ghost tour.
A cherry red Mazda MX5 driven by Deborah Rutlin hit the group of about 12 ghost tourists injuring two women who were thrown across the sidewalk.
Ms. Rutlin, said she had recently bought the car and only driven it a few times. She explained that she hit the gas instead of the brake, losing control of the vehicle. She apologized to the group after the incident and police administered a sobriety test that she passed although she admitted to having a single drink earlier. She was not ticketed for the accident.
The owner of Bulldog Tours, John LaVerne refunded the $18 fee for the tour to his patrons many of whom continued the tour although several decided to opt out of further jaunts down Charleston's narrow streets. (Sources: The Charleston Post & Courier and Associated Press)

As a Paranormal Investigator I have the opportunity to visit many wonderful sites of supposed haunting phenomena. I am a member of Sonoran Paranormal Investigations in Arizona and websmaster for the group.
